Here's what I got this week!
Kindle/Audio:
Summer Lovin' by Various Authors
I'm excited to read/listen to these short stories. I love these Amazon shorts so much. Not only do I get little snippets from authors I love, but I more often than not find new authors to love!
Library (Libby/Hoopla/LFL):
The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot by Marianne Cronin
Every once in a while I find something good in one of the little free libraries near me. This one was in the LFL on my way to work. I've heard good things so I'm excited to have it!
NetGalley/Edelweiss/Booktrovert:
Entities to Lovers by Mallory Marlowe
I read one book by this author previously and it was cute. This one looks like it will be fun so I hope it is. This was a read now I could not pass up!
Die for Me by Shirlene Obuobi
The publisher sent me a widget for this one and I've been on the fence. It got good blurbs from Ali Hazelwood and Christina Lauren so I'm hoping that means it will be a great read for me.
Julie at the Drive-In by Rainbow Rowell
Another Amazon short. This was read now. I've always wanted to read Rowell but have not gotten a chance. I thought jumping into a short to see if I like her writing would be a good way to go. I'm wondering if this will be attached to anything else, like a set of shorts.
The Art of Charming a Changeling by Sylive Cahtrall
This author wrote an epistolary duaolgy, The Sunken Archives, I adored. It was my first foray into such writing and she did a great job. You can see my reviews for those two books at the links below.
The Love Operation by Melissa R. Collings
This one was a read now and is through Mindy's Book Studio, Mindy Kaling's offshoot of Brilliance. All the stars seem to be making their own book clubs lately and I don't subscribe to most of them but sometimes they do recommend some good ones. So I'll give this one a try.
I really liked Thorn Season (see my review HERE) when I read it early last year. I was super impressed with this debut author's writing. I was excited to see this one come up on NG so I requested but then it went to read now today so I grabbed it!
Gifted:
My dad likes to send me books once in a while. Now that he's done that, Amazon keeps giving him recommendations. It's rare there's a book he and I both enjoy. He saw this one come up and thought I would like it and he was not wrong. I had been waiting to get a copy of this to match the newer ones I have since Broadbent got picked up by a traditional publisher.
How about you?
