Synopsis:
The local Avery Theater was just a run-down building to Quin—until her mother told her the tragic love story of Nick and Emma that played out on the theater’s stage all those years ago. I’m a music
junkie—and often hear pop songs running in the back of my mind to fit what’s
currently happening in my life. (This dates me a bit, but when I’m up to my
eyebrows drafting a new project, I usually hear Springsteen’s “Dancing in the
Dark”—there’s even a line in the lyrics about being sick of trying to write a
new book. Not kidding.)
But this playlist—the
playlist for Quin in my latest YA, SPARK—focuses on the music of our daily
lives. Here’s what Quin hears during the most heart-pounding, revealing scenes
in the book:
