What a cute read to start the year off with.
I love a good workplace romance and a little pining. This had those things and more.
It was fun to read this holiday romance and a simple read to start the year off with a little spicy excitement.
As with most novellas, things progress very rapidly. I expected the quick rush to romance but it was nice to see it had been brewing prior to the story's start as that made it feel a bit more real than insta-love would have.
Lily and Declan are a cute pair and I love that each thinks the other would never go for them. There was definitely a push a pull that could be felt. I do think the author could have expanded on it just a bit more. There was a lot of telling rather than showing when it came to their relationship.
I will say I didn't understand the fast turn around from total jerk to helper that happened with Lily's boss. It just didn't make any sense how or why it happened. That could have been explored a bit more.
Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who likes a short, fun, romantic read.
