Happy Friday September 6, 2024! It's been a hot minute since I posted my book haul so this one might be a doozy!
In the mail:
My FairyLoot purchase of When the Moon Hatched by Sarah Parker finally came. I skipped my subscriptions in August so this was a nice surprise!
From Target:
I was there buying school supplies for my kids and could not resist these two!
The Darkness Within Us by Tricia Levenseller. I have the first one and it's just as pretty!
The Coven by Harper L. Woods. The second book was released this week but I haven't gotten around to getting it yet.
From NetGalley for review:
Sprial (Off the Ice #2) by Bal Khabra
This is one of my most anticipated books for 2025. I adored the first book, Collide. I cannot wait to read this one!
Stranger Skies (Drowned Gods #2) by Pascale Lacelle
This is my most anticipated book of 2024. I am so excited to have not only a NetGalley egalley but also a physical ARC. The first book was my favorite book of 2023. If you haven't picked this series up and you are a fan of Leigh Bardugo, run, don't walk, to get the first one and see what it's all about!
The Courting of Bristol Keats by Mary E. Pearson
I got this one on audio and I'm hoping I like the narrator (that can make or break a book). I'll be giving it a listen very soon!
The Seemingly Impossible Love Life of Amanda Dean by Ann Rose
I'm reading this one now and so far it's cute. It's told in alternating time lines, which I'm finally used to but took me a bit there! My review will be posted soon.
The Starlieght Heir by Amalie Howard
Have you read Howard? There is not a book from her I don't love. From her YA to her regency romance, her writing is amazing. I highly recommend picking up her books!
For my Kindle/Libby:
Daydream (Maple Hills #3) by Hannah Grace
I really enjoyed the first book in this series but then was disappointed with the second one. This one was exciting for me because I loved the MMC from the previous books and wanted to hear his story. Unfortunately, I didn't love it as much as I really wanted to. It was much more drawn out than it needed to be.
Savor It by Tarah DeWitt
My friend was reading this and DNF'd but I loved how it sounded. So I got the audio on Libby (I adore Zachary Webber so much!) and also got a copy for my Kindle. I ended up really liking it!
The Divorce Party by Laura Dave
I recently finished an early copy of Dave's newest book that releases in the middle of this month: The Night We Lost Him. I really enjoyed it and you can see my review HERE. It's the second book I've read and liked by her so I figured I'd read her others. This one was good, I did it on audio, but not as good as the other two I've read by her. I also downloaded the other books I have not read by her but I won't bore you with listing them all!
Wild Eyes (Rose Hill #2) by Elsie Silver
I love Elsie Silver though I wasn't thrilled with the first book in this series. I really want the MMC's story for this one to be great, so I hope it lives up to what I want!
The Bromance Book Club (Bromance Book Club #1) by Lyssa Kay Adams
I'd heard about this in my book groups and I loved the idea of a romance geared towards the MMC. Plus Andrew Eiden/Teddy Hamilton is the narrator so I had to try it. It was adorable and I'll be continuing with the series.
When the Moon Hatched (Moonfall #1) by Sarah A. Parker
Yes, I got the pretty copy. And I also have a paperback copy. But I hadn't read it. So I borrowed it from Libby on audio. The narrators were just ok and there were times it was slow but overall I enjoyed it. Boy was it long!
Phew! That's a lot. What did you get this week?
