Talisman of El was surprisingly good. I was on a blog tour for it last year and I was a bit skeptical because of the cover (by this is why I'm not supposed to judge books by it's cover) but I really enjoyed it.

Thanks! I'm not a huge YA contempt person, either. I read JLA and I love Katie McGarry. But those are the only authors I've really liked. I am hoping Kasie's book is good b/c I loved Pivot Point!
